Overview
The Department of Electronics and
Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) has been in existence since July 2009. Presently
the branch is functioning under Electrical Engineering since 2021-22 academic
session. The multifaceted undergraduate course provides a dynamic foundation to
the students in EIE to be an industry ready. The Department aims to create
competent Electronic and Instrumentation Engineers to serve the needs of
evolving technology and the nation as a whole. The department is furnished by
various well-equipped and unparalleled laboratories that an Industry demands to
excel the knowledge in the undergraduate courses and the research purpose for
the PhD students. The department offers a wide range of courses which address
almost the entire arena covering Advanced Control System, Nano-electronics,
Photonics, Industry 4.0 Instrumentation, Sensor and Transducer, Signal
Processing, IoT, AI and Machine Learning to mention a few. The curriculum is
updated regularly in tune with advancement in technology and its applications.
The Department has eight (8) highly
qualified faculty members and five (5) experienced staff members to nurture highly competing young engineers,
scientist and management professionals of International standard. Best endeavor is always being put forward for the recruitment of
qualified and competent faculty members from all over the country to achieve
all round growth at par with any other famous Institute. Placement record and its higher percentage
of the department demand special mention and students have been placed in
various reputed R&D organizations and eminent companies in India and abroad
since inception.
The Department also offers PhD courses in
interdisciplinary domain of Optics and photonics, Sensor devices, Signal and
Image Processing, Industrial Instrumentation, Embedded system, Robotics to name
a few. The infrastructure and lab facilities are excellent and provide adequate
opportunities for students and researchers to learn and innovate.
